Giving

When you invest in Point University, you’re equipping the next generation of Christian leaders.

“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Luke 6:38 (NIV)

There are many different reasons to give. Alumni give because of what the band meant to them when they were in college.  They give as a result of seeing lives changed, seeing first hand the impact the program has on Point University. They give because they want to make sure that future generations have an even better experience because of their donation.  As alumni, you started a band program, giving to the future of the program gives you an opportunity to give back and secure your legacy by continuing to make the band better for future generations.

Parents of current members or alumni give because they have seen first hand the impact that the band has had on their children.  They have seen what a Christ centered approach to music has meant to their children and family.  Through this experience, they now have a desire to be a part of passing on this experience to more people.  These are the people that understand that to give to the band is to be giving to a unique ministry.  Many parents give in honor of their children or family members.

Community supporters give because they believe!  They believe in the value of using music to reach the world for Christ.  They see the difference that the Marching Skyhawks are making in the West Point community.  They have a desire to be a part of  sending the Marching Skyhawks out into the world.  They want to be a part of a legacy that is much greater than any one person.  Even if you have never marched in a band before, you can be involved through your giving and help make music a possibility for future students.  Contribute to the shows and experience that you enjoy at every football game!

“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7 (NIV)

Ways to give

Marching Skyhawk for Life  givers are people that want to make a lasting impact on the future of the band at Point University.  These individuals commit to a monthly contribution of $10.00 or more.  For less than the cost of two lattes a month or just a little more than a value meal, you can make a huge and significant impact on the future of the Marching Skyhawks.  If all of us agree to contributing just a little every month, over time, the band will benefit in a huge way!  Please consider being a Marching Skyhawk for Life! “On behalf of all the past, current, and future Marching Skyhawks, I want to personally thank you for your contribution.  Our band is better because of independent donors that choose to be an important part of our vision.  We are on a mission to build a world class Christian marching music program that has a platform to show the world the love of Christ, and the excellence that he demands.  You are an important part of making this vision a reality.  I hope that you will come and visit our band and introduce yourself and let us know that you are a Marching Skyhawk for Life and/or a Donor.  We want to thank you personally and show you how your gift is making a direct impact on our students.  After all, when we partner together to change the life of a student, we have an opportunity to change the world.”   -Dr. Joshua Boyd, Director of Athletic Bands
